HP Sprout Pro Design and Display
The design of the HP Sprout Pro remains virtually the same from the last time, with a look that somewhat brings an Apple iMac to mind. It retains the 23-inch touchscreen with Full HD resolution. Below the display is a large 20-inch Touch Mat which somehow doubles as both a keyboard and a mouse.
Hanging atop the screen like a lamp is the Illuminator – the major attraction in this all-in-one PC – which serves as both a projector and scanner. The Illuminator boasts a 4-camera system, featuring Intel RealSense 3D camera and a 14-megapixel high-resolution camera, and a projection engine by HP.
HP Sprout Pro allows you scan and manipulate both 2D and 3D objects and can capture drawings or sketches made on the mat.
Performance and OS
The HP Sprout Pro is configured for faster, more powerful performance with latest Intel Skylake processor attending to business under the hood, as against the older Haswell chip used on the first PC.
The CPU is supported by faster DRR4 memory and a more robust NVIDIA GeForce GT945A discrete graphics card. Surprisingly, however, the graphics chip has lower video memory of just 1 GB. Windows 10 Professional is expectedly the operating system of choice on the machine.
Additional Information
The all-in-one PC will come with a Bluetooth keyboard and an Adonit Jot Pro Stylus to help you get things done more effectively. HP Sprout Pro has an External Display Mixer feature that lets you share what you have on its dual screen, the Illuminator and webcam videos – these can be done at the same time.
Sprout Companion for Skype for Business enables users share 2D captures and annotate on a whiteboard during a Skype meeting. The PC features Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for stronger security.
Pricing and Availability
HP Sprout Pro is available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and a few other countries. Its price in the United States starts at $2,199. HP Sprout Pro is not available in Nigeria and does not seem to me like a device that will launch officially in Nigeria.
